A story written by everyone
How the Council works
Every three days the story reaches a turning point. You vote on what happens, and the winning choice becomes canon.
A new decision
Every three days the story reaches a turning point. A short summary tells you who’s involved and what’s at stake.
You vote
Pick what happens next. Everyone gets one vote, and nobody sees the totals until voting closes.
It becomes canon
The choice with the most votes is what happens. We write the next chapter around it, and there are no take-backs.
The story moves on
The next decision grows out of the last one. It’s a choose-your-own-adventure book that everyone writes together.
The rules
One Councillor, one vote
Joining is free. Every Councillor gets one vote in each open decision.
Every vote is equal
No paid votes, no weighted votes, no way to buy influence.
The count stays secret
Nobody sees the totals while voting is open. The full result is published with the next chapter.
A sealed vote stands
You confirm before you seal, and a sealed vote can’t be changed. You can add or edit your reasoning until voting closes.
The most votes wins
The winning choice becomes canon. A tie is settled by the editors with a published reason. A decision with no votes stays unresolved.
Canon is permanent
Once a result is written into the story it is never rewritten. Later chapters can reveal more, but they can’t undo what happened.
